Hey everybody

I'm completely new to this and now face pruning my tree, the type of style I like is the typical African thorn tree with the flat top (please see images attached). I also planted my tree more to the left of the pot and would like to force growth to the right, do I do this my pruning more on the left side?? Also how do you decide when to wire a branch rather than to cut it off??

Any advice is welcome

Thank you

wiring and cutting a branch does 2 totally different things.
-wiring adjusts branch position
-cutting is to remove branches totlally or to induce branch devision

to achieve what you want you will have to remove all lower shoots on the trunk and all but the top 4 to 5 leaf sets on the secondary branches
wire the branches into position and let it grow
