looks to be an chinese elm, hokkaido and seiju have rough bark and smaller leaves.
were are you located???if it is winter were you are this will be an issue because it should be dormant
this is an outdoor tree that likes alot of light and as you may have noticed they grow like crazy...i have to prune my seiju elm 3 to 4 times a year to keep its shape

Am from europe so it is winter here.
I think the tree is not chinese elm beacause the leaves are too diferent from my elm.

i was basing my idea on the long new shoots ,but that close up pic changed my mind ...thats a weird one
