Hi everyone.
I am very new to this and I have a very strange question for you and I hope you can help.
Basicly, I am in the Royal Navy and obviously have to go away on ship. However, I would like to grow a 名媛直播 while I'm away at sea.
My strange question is: If I was able to get the correct artificial lighting, would it be possible to grow/maintain a 名媛直播 under those conditions? (No or very very little real light)
Sorry for the rather bizzare question and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Shaka

fluorescent tubes have the right spectrum that plants need, so that won't be a problem. i think it won't be a problem growing one on a ship.

Hi Shaka,
Many people will advise against it, but it has been done (indoors).
I have even read an article on a guy (Jack Wikle)growing Junipers in his basement, under nothing but Fluorescent Tubes for 20 years.
Here are links that might help:

I think you will need to select a species that will do well indoors and likes fairly constant temperatures, may rule out a lot of common choices - carmona maybe (fukien tea)? And control local humidity with a gravel tray. Just some initial thoughts

definately ficus will do there are many spiecies to choose from,i do think any tropical will work. a higher watage cfl bulb(comparable to 60w incandesent) in a desk lamp will work as long as it is over the entire tree, and a humidity tray underneath...
be wary of the "ginsing" ficus with big bulbus roots they can be tempermental.
were are you going to be stationed? maybe we can help finging a nursery
