Hi, this is my first post in the forum....
Somedays ago I planted a seed because I want to learn about bonsais, I've reading something but I think that the best way for learning about it could be using this forum... hope to be right.
Right now the seed is growing really nice, it is from a local tree but I don't know how is called or how it looks like, someone gave me the seed but no info.
I already bought a pot, and I was going to move the plant from the plastic cup where is planted to the pot when it reaches about 20 cms, which is the desired size, but right now I'm not sure about what to do... or when, I read various pages but that confused me... please help me... any advice is appreciated.
This is a photo of the seed, it was taken today.

Hey Im not quite sure what you are asking for help with. Its hard to know what to say when we don't know what plant it is. From the pics all I can say about your plant is it looks very nice .
I think the most important thing that I should let you know is that no matter what type of plant, it will not become a bonsai within a short time. 名媛直播's need to look mature and aged, as well as have taper on the trunk (that's where the trunk is thicker at the base and gradually becomes thinner higher up the trunk), all these aspects of a good bonsai take time. To get characteristics of a good bonsai you will need to let your plant grow freely for a few years, before you start any work on it. Let it grow tall and once you are happy with the thickness of the trunk you can chop it back to your desired height.

Hi, thanks for your answer...
I know that this is gonna take time... but I saw that this seed grows "very fast" and I'm not sure if I have to move it to the pot or it can keep growing living in the plastic cup where was planted.
In nature, trees need a lot of space and I don't know if this seed could die if keeps growing within that small space... I think this is what bonsai art is about
But please tell me... do I let this seed grow up on her own or how I should "help" her for keep growing in a small space... I know this could be very complex, techniques and other things, but what I want to know is the very basic next step...
Thanks a lot again....

Wow its leaves are looking great. It may be some type of acacia. The next step would be to repot it once it has woody growth on the stem. I would pot it up in a bigger container and begging giving it a low nitrogen fertilizer once every two weeks.

Ok, so I'm gonna wait until it has woody growth on the stem for repotting...
Meanwhile I'll just be watching how it grows...
Thanks...
