hello all.. a few weeks ago i bought this juniper
This image is hidden for guests.
it's been cleaned up now
i love the trunk and think it has potential.. but..
i was wondering if i could reposition this now?
the front i would use, and the angle it's positioned in the pot is different of what is is now.
can i reposition this tree now, without doing anything to the roots and keeping the same soil? or is it best just to wait untill next spring? (which makes it harder to style now)

I wouldn't disturb it now. Where are you keeping this tree?

it's in a "gardershed" which is completely open on one side and has a transparrent roof.. so it has sunlight all day and there is good air circulation..

thought i'd update this a little bit.. since it's been 3 years..
at the very beginning, this tree was formed informal upright.. i knew nothing about the species and was still rather clueless about bonsai..
afterwards i changed the angle a little bit
a year later the tree still looked like a young twig in a pot.. still being clueless..
that year i had more time to go to workshops.. and even though this tree didn't go to any of the workshops, i tried to use my growing knowledge to style this tree
the tree was left to grow.. but i still wasn't happy about it
by this moment i had been reading more and more about shohin bonsai..
so i took my tools and restyled the tree again..
the tree was left to grow freely and occasionally i widened the shari..
this is the tree last autumn..
a few days ago i changed it a bit more, but i didn't get to take a picture yet.. so will be updated as soon as i get the chance..
2 years ago i also took 2 of the the pruned branches and potted them.. they now are 2 fully rooted cuttings which i can use to graft onto this tree when i feel the need..
the tree will now be left to grow freely in hope that the young needle-like growth will be replaced by the normal scale-like "leaves"

Good idea to go for smaller and yeah.. that's a lot of juvenile/stress foliage. Interesting, looking forward to see more.

2 years ago i took 2 cutting of this tree and planted them..
they both rooted and have the smaller scale needles..
these 2 branches will be grafted back onto their "mother" this year..

I love these pictures! In my experience, most people may think that these are not 名媛直播 because of the preconceived opinion of what a 名媛直播 should look like. But after learning so much about the journey that each tree makes, it's really cool so see your trees and how they are transpiring.
