I was on a backpacking trip with a few friends of mine and while driving home we stopped at a little tent on the side of the road. They had some 名媛直播s! We all bought one. After getting back I wanted to do some research and then realized there are a ton of different species. What type of tree do I have? How old is it? Was $12 a good price for a purchase.
Thanks to everyone for the help! I am excited to start what I believe will be a lifelong hobby.

Hello, everyone. I was with Davis when we bought our trees and have one that looks very similar. Some beginner tips would really help us out a lot to keeping our trees healthy.
Also, does anyone know what kind of tree this bonsai actually is?

They are juniper trees. They need to be kept outside, no matter what the seller told you. Google juniper care
Good luck

A good start would be to pinch all the growth tips by hand, this will give you more compact growth. $12 is a good buy I recon. I don't have any juniper plant's myself, but if I were to guess I would say it's a juniper procumbens nana, or dwarf juniper, known for its very small leaves. It came in a nice looking pot as well. If the stones are all glued together, its best to pull them off, but it doesn't look like that's the case. Just focus on watering for the moment, thats the most important thing where many people starting of go wrong. Get into a routine of checking the soil to see if it needs watering. Lastly, good luck guys
