Update on that part. My little tree is wilting very quickly and I'm not sure what to do about it. It's in the coolest room of my house anywhere else would be too hot and dry. Outside my house there is no shade for it. I'm not sure what to do with my tree in terms of placing it.

Hi everyone.
Have we determined if this is a holly or not?
If it is it does need to be outside.Some of them grow in zone 5.
I don't have any experience with holly so and information I give would be very generalized...So I'll hold off for someone here who knows them.

now that i look closer i t may just be a speicies of holly the ones im used to have a much more drasticly serated leaf but it has flower buds and thick leaves like a holly. holly are an evergreen bush or tree
( there is a holly forest in maryland near ocean city)they are very hardy plants and put up with heat and cold well
water is the only reason i would see its health went so quickly ??? :S

Yes hollys like to be outside. I give mine shade in the afternoon time and they are doing good.

Thanks for all the advise everyone! I have put my tree into a bowl of water and it seems to perked up. I guess I didn't water it enough when I first got it. I'm going to keep it outside as you all recommend and see if it gets back into it's former self.
