I have a desert rose and some sort of jade variety in the same pot. I'm wondering if anyone can identify the jade variety, my profile picture shows the plants. The leaves on the jade are large with some pink edging to them. These two were found in the corner of a green house in 3 inch pots and where completely dried out. I know they don't take much water, but I lightly watered the soil after transplant. With a fresh bag of succulent soil they don't need fertilizer anytime soon do they? Also right now they are getting sunlight through window but will soon have outside light when I'm at home. Any ideas or thoughts are appreciated. I can add more detailed pictures if needed.

Spekboom is one of the best plants in the world in terms of carbon uptake.

If your jade is in fact spekboom ( portulacaria afra ) then you can find a wealth of info & links to great pics on
and click on the portulacaria tab on the left. She's got some really good general info & species specific stuff on her website. Good Luck!
