My name is Anthony and I just joined today and am really interested in growing 名媛直播 for the first time. I live in Phoenix, Arizona and have researched trees that will work for my 名媛直播 project and came to the conclusion that I would like to try to grow a Kwanzan Cherry Tree (Sakura) or (Japanese Cherry Blossom).
The problem I am having is how to get started with this specific tree. I can't find seed anywhere and if nurserys sell them they are way to big for a starter. Can you guys help me out.
Thanks for your time and info.

i can say it is more better to use bigger plant than those small because it is easy to take care of them, they have the characteristic to survive...small size plant need small container small container can only gript small amount of water..it is more prone to faillor.

He there,
Welcome to the forum.
Starting a bonsai from seed is a long process. It will be years before the tree is ready to be styled....years.
If you want to jump right in, plant a few seeds but also buy a tree from a local nursery..They are fairly inexpensive and will give you something to work on immediately. The trees they sell locally will grow well in your planting zone.
Above all, have fun.
Lance
Make sure that you research your new tree before you work on it. Certain things can only be done at specific times of the year.Different trees have different needs.

Perhaps try to find a fast growing tree in your area for your first one, its always good when you can see results, whether they good or not you can learn from them. At the same time you might as well grow a few Cherry blossom seedlings.

Cherry trees are beautiful, with really nice flowers!
As many others already said: It takes years till you can work with the seeds you've planted and it takes another couple of years before you have something that actually look like a bonsai, but it's great when you've a bonsai that you've trained from the beginning, but it's gonna take you a long time.
So besides the seeds you want to grow, you can also buy some material you can work on styling or something.
Good luck!

I buy a lot of seeds from eBay, and like they said a local nursery should have some interesting trees. Baobab trees are pretty neat and I think they like hot and dry weather. That being said, What Part of Arizona makes a difference, Arizona has very varied temperature regions! It can be cold and high altitude or hot, dry and low altitude, or somewhere in between. Again. A local nursery should be able to help. I actually just got two baobabs from ebay recently, I excited about them. I'm very much a novice too so id listen to the other contributors advice above mine.
Welcome!

Also local nursery plants will work. Have a look at the site of tony Ticle to see what you can do to big trees to get them to bonsai. (
). I do NOT# suggest you go out an dug up some trees. Leave that for when you have done this for a bunch of years..
