To save your struggling black pine seedling, gradually transition it outdoors to a sunny, well-draining spot over 1-2 weeks, protecting it from pests like snails and avoiding overwatering.Danilo Di Gennaro post=85316 userid=64231
Hi everyone,I’m relatively new to bonsai and would like to grow a black pine from seed. I planted this seed almost a year ago, and now I have a seedling (indoors). I know that black pines are outdoor bonsai, but since the last time I put a seedling outside where it first got too much water from the rain and then was eaten by a snail. I’m a bit hesitant to do the same with my current seedlings.Unfortunately, my seedlings don’t look very healthy anymore, so I do think it’s important for them to go outside. In the photo, you can see that they are slowly dying. I repotted them yesterday. They were initially in a biodegradable pot (similar to the one on the right), but it started molding, so I repotted them into their current pot.Could anyone give me tips on how to save my black pine, whether placing it outside is the solution, and if so, how to do it best? Thanks in advance!
