Hello.
I'm wondering if my bonsai will do ok in front of a window with a frosted film.? The best window for natural light is on my nosy neighbor side of the house.? I would like to keep the film if possible for privacy reasons.? Any suggestions?

The need of light is directly conected to the temperature. In winter I keep my trees cool to match temperature to awailable light. For ficus retusa I think that the low limit is 10 degrees. At that point I am sure it likes beeing behind that frosted glass. Without temperature drop it may be enough to survive the winter, but it will not be the best conditions.
You can download a ppfd measuring app to your phone and check the difference between the two options.
In summer the tree should be outdoors.
