Buddhist pine (podocarpus) water stress? was created by puding00

Hi!
I’m a beginner, and I’ve been taking care of my buddhist pine (Podocarpus) bonsai for 2 months now indoors. I watered it every 2-3 days and it has been growing well, and even new stems appeared.?
However last week I fertilized it for the first time, and unfortunatelt after that I forgot to water it for 5 days, the soil was dry, and I saw the rather smaller leaves to wilt. I watered it then thouroughly, but nothing changed, and the wilted leaves are starting to get dry now..
I’m attaching the photos. I didn’t see any root to rot or get dark, so I don’t think it was overfertized..

Questions:
- was it definitelt due to lack of water? Those dry leaves are going to fall down right? How can I get new stems on those branches?:(
- I diluted the fertilizer as it was indicated, how much / how should I fertilize? Put the bonsai into the diluted fertilizer or just use a cup of it for example?

Thank you so much!!

What you did with the fertiliser was irrelevant. Not watering caused the leaves to wither, they are dead but the plant probably is not. Never water to a schedule, water when almost dry. The plant will probably recover, right now it needs less water, but do not allow it to dry again.
