Small roots on top - is this normal?

Hi! I have a bonsai and it seems to be really thriving. Lots of shoots and leaves growing on it regularly. I noticed that recently, tiny little roots have been creeping up on the top over the soil/potting mix. I have the bigger ones which are normal, but these tiny ones are so thin/stringy. I’m not sure if I should be worried? Is my pot too small for the tree? Or is it normal to have this?

Nothing to worry about. Thin roots grow thicker by time. Just prune the ones growing in the wrong direction and keep the ones you like for a nice nebari.
