Hi.? I'm wondering how long to leave cut paste on a tree; I used my phone to translate the Japanese, but the only thing the container says about removal is to please wet fingers.? Do I remove the paste after a year, or is a shorter term okay?? I have a Ficus Microcarpa and live in Missouri and am moving into Winter. ?Thanks.

Why do you want to apply cut paste? The usual way is to leave it until it drops off.

I bought a juniper with cut paste on 5 years ago. Had no idea one should remove it so it is still there. Bark is slowly callusing over it. I just thought that was the entire idea. Anyway, now is too late to remove it and the tree does not seems to be suffering.
