Money Tree Emergency

I've noticed for a while that my money tree wasn't really growing much.? I never did more than transfer to another pot with new soil.? I didn't know anything and these little trees until I got my Chinese Elm and stayed researching how to properly care for that.? I recently moved all of my babies outside in the shade to enjoy the summer heat.??
I thought at first that I may have burned my money tree by over adding things for nutrients.? I decided to take it down to the roots, inspired by my Australian Weeping bonsai cutting starting to really take off.??
First I noticed that the twist tie had cut into them as I removed it.? Then one felt dead and the base was almost soggy.? I worked to clean off the roots as next I could. Ii definitely didn't feel like soaking them will help anything.? I'm almost certain I've been over watering them.??
Please, someone help me and my money baby.? Thanks so much!
