Hello all!

Just signed up ten minutes ago?as I received two?trees at the mall, I now realize that I have been lied to.??

When I asked the guy why the moss and bottom of the tree was browning, he told me not to worry and the tree was perfectly healthy.??

After looking around the forums after getting home my situation?does not seem good to me, additionally, I also have read a lot of contradicting advice in regards to what I should do for this tree.??

The first image is the tree?that?I had gotten for $160, the rest of the image is the juniper tree that came with the "package deal", please guide me on how I can save the tree, I would like at all to avoid returning it as I want to overcome this challenge and learn this hobby through hardship!!!

Thank you in advance,

Aki

The seller fooled you big time.

The first picture is a shefflera, a very common house plant. Despite the confusing common name "hawaian umbrella tree, it is not a tree. You can get small specimens at 1 or 2 dollars and huge ones eround 50 dollars. It is a tropical understory plant. It like heat, organic soil and low light conditions. As most good houseplants.

The juniper looks good, but it seems like you are keeping it indoors? In that case it will not stay healthy for long. Bring it outdoors asap.
