Beginner here could do with some help please!
I was given a Japanese Holly around 6-7 months ago and all seemed to be going well. I was watering it when it was starting to dry out and I've pruned it once to keep its shape.
But recently an area of leaves have started turning a yellowy green (see pics), they don't feel dry but anything other than a light touch causes them to fall off. I'm wondering whether I've got my watering wrong or if there is something else going on. It sits right in front of a window and gets light all day.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks?

Looks like you keep your tree indoors, is that right? If so, there are your issue. This is a hardy tree that need winter dormancy. Sometimes trees can survive skipping one dormancy, but never two. Get the tree outdoors asap. First in full shade and then gradually move it into more sun during a 4-6 weeks period. Once in full sun, just leave it there and never move it again.
