Hello everyone!? We recently purchased a Chinese Elm along with a full spectrum UV light.? When it arrived it was in excellent condition.? There was about a 3 day gap between getting the light and the tree, so we initially placed the elm in a window for its source of sunlight.? Once the light arrived, we put it under the light for the normal amount of time per day it would get sunlight if outside.? The tree started dying within days, which we assume was from burning.? We've since stopped using the light (which sucks because it wasn't cheap) and started placing it outside in partial shade but she still doesn't look like she's bouncing back properly.? We are both new to bonsai and are desperately trying to save our girl.
We water her whenever the soil gets dry to the touch and have not fertilized the tree since receiving?it about 2 weeks ago.? We use a spray bottle to wet the soil when we do water it.? Any advice would be amazing.

Chinese elms are temperate decidious trees. They need to be grown outdoors at all times, indoors they die.
That beeing said. They do not die in two weeks from beeing indoors. Your watering is totally wrong and it is most likelly the reason for the fast decline.
