Hi,
I have had my Carmona bonsai for almost three years. It was looking very good from when I had it up until 3 weeks ago when its leaves dropped and they seemed very dry and were falling off with the slightest touch.
I watered it generously because I thought that I had forgotten and it needed water. However no new leaves have appeared since then.
After a lot of research and consultation, I repotted the tree into a larger pot and although I was as careful as I could some roots fell off during the repotting and I don’t know if I have damaged the tree a lot.
I am not sure if watering was the problem, but the issue with the leaves happened right after there was a sick rose next to the tree. I examined it very carefully and I did not see any pests, however my rose behaved in the exact same way from the pests.
How many days after repotting should I notice if there is any improvement? Is there anything else I can do for it to feel good?

I think both your rose and your carmona suffered from a period of very low humidity and that the pest problem was secondary.
Repotting is very stressful for trees and should only be done to healthy trees. Pruning away large volumes of roots is part of the repotting process and are normally not a problem If done on the right time of the year on healthy trees and with the right after care.
If your carmona has survived repotting or not will be noticeable when there is enough sun to support growth. Look at decidious trees around you. If your carmona has not burst into growth when the decidious trees are in full leaf the chanse of recovery is very low.
