Hello first time posting.
Any advice on how to save my black pine seedling? Needles have been turning brown and new growth is starting to yellow at the tips.
Pine is under full sun and is planted in akadama and watered only once the top soil gets dry. I also live in a tropical country.
Many thanks!!

I think you have chosen the wrong species for your climate. Black pines really need a good long dormancy to survive.
First winter I kept some Black pines protected from frost and some in unheated greenhouse. The ones that did not get frost died and the other ones survived.

I don't think a Japanese black pine can survive in the tropics. The best thing to do now is to water and keep it in the shade and somewhere cooler.
