Hey there, I just got a small bonsai tree (Fukien tea) as a present for my birthday and I am newbie to bonsai so I am not that experienced as others and I am asking how to wire trunk that is 1,5 cm wide? Do you need some special wires to do that? It seems to me that it is impossible to wire that wide trunk but as I said I am new to bonsai.
Thank you, Max

I would recomend to first keeping the tree alive and healthy for at least a full year before doing anything to do with styling.

There are teqnices for bending the unbendable. Come back in a year with a picture of a healthy tree and I will share it with you :)

Well I bought it on e-shop, which is dedicated to bonsai trees and I think that the tree is at least 2 years old so it is already pretty solid bonsai. But I strongly agree with your opinion. Anyways I very appreciate your response. Thank you

The age of the tree is less important than the time in your care. I have seen more beginners killing 20 year old trees than experienced persons killing young trees.

OH, yes. There are no such thing as a two year old "solid bonsai"
