How old is this tree and what species? Also should I keep inside (away from the cats) or outside (for during and after the season)

This is a recently rooted cutting from brasilian umbrella plant. I would guess less than 6 months since propagation started.

Also it was prob from Seed, I just pruned it into bonsai shape, maybe a bit too early:/ just got like 2-3 days ago got at ace hardware i think

What makes you think it was grown from seed, not cuttings? The plant industy grow them by milions from cuttings. Just a few plant enthusiasts grow them from seeds.

If it was too early to prune or not is a question about your goal for the plant, the space awailable and the time frame to achieve the goal. I would not prune at this stage unless I wanted grow cuttings to get more plants.
