Some photos and detailed info on how you care for the tree would help.

East Coast can be anything. Karlskrona is the mildest place and have almost no winter. While Lule? is very cold and have 6 months winter . Just for your information, this is an international forum, east Coast can be anywhere.
My carmona lost all its leafs in february and was totally bare all the way until August when it suddenly startet to grow wild. It is my first year with carmona so not totally sure why. But one thing that is noticeable is that February was unusually dry and August was unusually wet. I do believe that humidity has something to do with it. They seems love high humidity. Here at the forum the treads about dieing carmonas have a peak when nortern hemisphere gets into winter. That is when most carmonas is indoors and indoor humidity drops due to house heating. At the moment I think a terrarium or grow tent where high humidity can be maintained is the key for long term health and survival.

At the first two Photos the Soil looks dry and it start dropping Leaves, .. how you watered it ?? At the last one, its allready repotted , not the perfect time but its done, i would take it away from direct Sun for the next 2-3 Weeks, i think your Carmona will lost more Leaves next weeks and please.. dont fertilize it.

Good pick up! I did not realiced it was repotted. That is why we need complete care info.
Yes, I agree. If it is newly repotted and under repotting stress, take it away from the sun, give water, but no fertilizer. Humidity may be even more important than normal on trees in repotting stress.

I live in NJ.
Meaning??? I live in VG, do you know where that is?
If you repotted in beginning of summer your problem is not repotting stress. And if may was beginning of the summer you are in the nortern hemisphere just as I am
