Hi everyone, i’ve had my ficus for a few years. Towards the end of 2022 i had it kept in a poorly lit area and it was on the verge of death. I repotted it and moved it to a well lit area in February 2023. I feed and water it based on what i’ve researched. My question is what do i do with it now? It’s growing really well (comparatively) but i’m wanting to not wait until something goes wrong. I’m not really sure when i can prune it, how it should look, and i’m unsure what to do with it’s big leaves. Any advice would be really appreciated. Thank you

Ficus microcarpa ginseng is one ficus with small leafs grafted on another species root stock which have big leafs. On the pictures it looks like you have at least one branch growing from under the graft. Maybe there are more, maybe even all of them.
If you want the small leafs to grow you need to remove all branches growing from under the graft. If the graft is dead it is not possible anymore and you have to accept that the small leafs are gone. It is really hard to see the excact position of the graft and branches on the photo.

Hi Tropfrog, thanks for your reply. I’ve attached another couple of images which are hopefully clearer. I don’t really mind how it looks. I just want it to be a healthy tree and not sure if i should let it grow for a bit longer before doing any pruning. I’m very new to this!

Looks like a healthy graft to me. Ficus is normally pruned in the summer.
