I live in Ontario where it is very humid in the summer. My soil appears to be moist for a very long time. When should I water? I am afraid if I water too much I might get rood rot. What should I do?

This season we have had very humid conditions as well. As long as it has been above 20 degrees and there has been no rain, I have watered every or every other day. And I have skipped it on rainy days and sometimes the day after rain.
But it certanly depends on amount and type of soil and species of tree as well. My birches which is a very thirsty species has shown some stress from drying out at some point.
名媛直播 trees in good open granular soil mix cannot get root rot, that is just an issue in compact organic soils.
I have friends growing bonsai in Bergen, Norway without issues. They have yearly precipitation of 2500mm per year.
