Can somebody please help me identify my bonsai tree which was bought for me recently as an anniversary present from my partner, my bonsai doesn't look very well at all either! I'm based in the North east of England and the weather hasn't been great, my bonsai lives on a windowsill and should get plenty of light where it is.

Carmona or fukien tea tree. This species is one of the biggest mysteries in the hobby. Nobody here know how to keep them alive long term.

But it should be possible to keep it resonable healthy all summer outdoors and well watered. It is in winter they all die.

Not sure about this specimen thou. I have never seen one recover from this state. As always, it does not hurt to try.
