I’m new to bonsai and was gifted this tree. The leaves are turning brittle and brown. I’ve watered it but am worried that the air conditioning draft is killing it. Would that be the case? Help!
I don’t even know what kind of tree I have.

I thought it uploaded. Sorry. Apparently it never took. This is an older picture. I can post a current one tomorrow when I’m back at work.

You’re talking about airconditioning draft. Are you keeping it inside? If it’s summer (I guess, airconditioning) where you are, your tree should be outside. If it’s winter, it might need protection depending on tree, but not be in livingroom conditions.
There’s no indoor trees. But without a picture, we can’t tell you what tree you have.
