HI,
I have a problem with my 10y old Brazilian rain tree.
My tree started to drop leaves, initially they gradually became yellow - starting from the edges, some of them with darker dots, and at some point, they drop off completely. Once they drop off the branch dies as well.
Initially I thought it might be problems with soil, so I reported it to akadama, but it did not help at all.
adding few pic
Perhaps you have some ideas on how to solve it?
Thanks,

Is it indoors? It may not be getting enough sunlight.

Hello!
This doesn't look like a BRT (but it can be different by being inside), neither appears to be 10y old, but that might be because it is struggling for some time...
For me it seems like it has been surviving to indoor environment for some time, leaves are leggy and big, that's all this tree can barely do indoors, survive...
Here in the coldest regions of Brazil they do yellow and shed some leaves on winter, sometimes do retract sap on some branches, but this looks more then just wintering, even because if you are on the Northern Hemisphere it is now summer...
Put it outside, on a shady spot gradually moving to sun...
This is one of my BRTs, it's almost 2 years old, you can see it's now almost leafless since we are now on winter (and it was night, that's why leaves are droppy).
This tree is always outside here, but maybe your winter is too hard for it, so then you should put it indoors, greenhouse would be ideal.

Thanks all for answers.
Yes, it is grown as in-doors tree. I cannot hold it all year round outside due to winters.
Regarding sun, I somehow thought that bringing it to direct sun light would be a bad idea? Do BRT tolerate well direct sun?
Another idea, is water perhaps some water is holding in the pot, that's why I repotted it in 100% akadama 6-8months ago to have best drainage. But it did not help...

Indoors is just a temporary solution for trees that cannot tolerate winter. In summer all trees should be outdoors. I think comparing Albas 2 year old tree with your 10 year old tree sais it better than any words I can provide.
Yes, the tree can take direct sun. But it is important to let it aclimatice to it gradually and adapt watering while doing so.
