Hi everyone, I recently noticed that the all the tips of this Kishu Juniper start to turn brown and I am not sure whether it is because I overwatered it or underwatered it. Can any one help me find out? Thank you so much!
Some info about this tree: I repotted this tree in mostly 1:1:1 Akadama Pumice and Lava rock during mid-April and kept in shade for about two weeks then moved to full sun. In mid-May I went abroad for a month and my friend helped me take care of this tree. He said he pretty much water it every other day since it is pretty warm outside (27C/81F) during the day and the soil seems dry after one day. when I came back I added some liquid fertilizer and watered pretty much in the same pace.

The very tip of some leaves are turning brown and dry, and some of them were light green new growth just a month ago. I am not sure whether this is normal shredding of leaves or it is some kind of sign for any watering problem.

Yea, I know about that. Not all leafs grow perfect. As long as the tree is overall healthy, I just remove the brown ones. You will need to periodically thin it out anyway. Just look at it as the tree is helping you a little bit.

When removing foliage do not pinch prune the tips.
