This is a tree that I received as a gift (purchased from Etsy) about 1.5 years ago. It has been sitting on a north facing window sill and was thriving until about a month ago. Since then the leaves have started turning yellow but I think I still see new growth. I water it once a week and haven't used any fertilizer. Since 2 weeks ago I'v moved it away from the window as I thought that window gets too much sun during longer summer days.
Should I report? Take it outdoors? Fertilize? Any advice is appreciated.

Are you in the nortern hemisphere where it is winter now and north is the most sun exposed direction?
If not, this tree gets way to little sun. And it is summer now when the tree should be outdoors. Move it into full shade outdoors and slowly during 3-4 weeks move it into full sun. When temperature drops to below 10c in authum, move it into a cold but frost free environment for winter.
OH, yes. The main problem with this tree is underwatering. When sweet plums gets dry they die very fast. The chanse of recovery is very small so don't have too high expectations. Still worth a try thou.
