Larvae on leaves? - Fukien Tea was created by MihaiRo

Hello everyone.

We've been back from holiday for a couple of weeks now - a week away - during which time our bonsai hasn't been watered. Someone forgot to go over the plants to water them too.

Returning from vacation, we found the bonsai with dry leaves, which we also cleaned, so it would stay clean. After I started watering and fertilizing it, these ``white fluffy spots'' started appearing on the branches. After a while the leaves started to appear and unfortunately they too were infested with these larvae, I think.

Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know how to remove these larvae?

Thanks in advance for your answer.

I have seen two cases of white fluffy things on fukiens before. Cannot remember that the cause for it or identification was solved.

In any case. Fukien tea is a very hard species to grow outside its native distribution. They all die and I have only seen one specimen that made it more than a year.

Next time get tree that can be grown under the conditions you can provide. And don't be to hard on that someone, that forgot to water. Someone just speeded up the unavoidable end.
