I have a poorly bonsai in need of some TLC.
I bought this bonsai roughly a year ago and for a long time it was doing fantastic. It was on my windowsil with decent like but isn't overly exposed, the room is relatively damp in general (50-80% humidity depending on the season). I admit I do sometimes neglect to water it, but it never goes longer than 5-7 days without. I have by mistake a handful of times over watered it. also, I do add nutrients during the growth period.
However, since the start of the year the leaves turned brown (I initially just took this as its winter shed), but it is now June and the leaves are still brown. I noticed a while back that new buds had started, but shortly after the buds also turned brown. The leaves at touch still feel somewhat waxy but crusty around the edges. Some however, have got completely crusty.
I have attached a photo, and if you can figure out the poor guys dilemma that would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like it was inside. That is pretty much a formula for a tree extending non dormant time and then dying without a dormant period.
