We acquired this Bosai tree it has tuned brown and seems dead. My wife cracked one of the branches on it on it was green. What do I need to do to keep this tree alive? I went out and bought a soil, moisture and sun tester to try and save the tree and thats why the 3 pictures

Like Albas said I think it's dead, but you never know.

Check the roots. Live healthy roots should be firm, white, and show some fine feeder roots. Gently remove the tree from its pot and examine the roots. If you find signs of new root growth, Maybe parts of the tree are still alive. On the other hand, mushy, brown or black roots tell its definitely dead.

if part of the tree is living it will take a lot of work and luck to revive it, but it's possible if you thinks it worth the time. Luckily you have something to take it's place

I am absolutely 100% sure it is dead and have been for a while. There are no reason at all to be unsure about that.
