My bonsai wasn't that great when I bought it. In three weeks some leaves started drying out, and other were getting brown leaftips. Also, my root system is very very espans, it started getting above soil level. Water just passes through the soil, rarely gets absorbed. Do I need to repot my tree? (it's 6/9 today). Is it overwatered? Or underwatered? do I need more light? I have no clue what's going on, I'm a absolute beginner and I'm taking care of this tree while my friend is on holidays. I need help, I'm desperate. I'm scared that the tree might die in a week, or less. I don't know what's going on, also dry leaves are located in the center of the foliage, while 5 brown tipped leaves are on the outside, if it does help.
