Adult son purchased this bonsai at our local plant nursery. Label only says bonsai assortment. We've not been able to properly identify it on a variety of websites. Thank you for your help!

It is a ficus plant. Not entierly sure what exact species. But care is the same.

Ficus needs a lot of sunshine. If you are northern hemisphere it should be outside in sun.

He & I have been looking up various forms of 'ficus', 'ficus bonsai', etc. since noted above... NONE of them look like the leaves on this one. We're stumped. However, he said he'll treat it like one. Thanks

It might be an aralia, which is tropical. But I could be wrong.
There are species identification apps. You would need whatever app you’re using to have access to your camera. Get an angle of the foliage and berries. That should help with the identification.
