Hey everyone,

So this spring, my little Prunus Padus started to grow enourmusly again, it went from buds to the current state in only 1 or 2 months. So i suppose the growth is quite good. I wanted to ask one or basically two main questions:

What will be my next steps for developing a thicker trunk?

Should i cut back the "branches" every 2-3 months, or should I let it completely let it grow till next year and the cut it, or maybe even dont touch it for at 2-3 years and just let it grow freely...

Also here are some images of the tree, I had cut it back to the current size from when it was twice as tall last year, the total tree age is approximately 1.5 years.

There is a slight risk that you did not prune back low enough, but I would not correct that now. For this year, it is fertilizer, sun and watering. Nothing else. These are fairly young and it needs a fair bit of growing.
