Hi everyone, im new to this forum and bonsai I general and I can really use some advice.
I bought my first nursery stalk of Pinus pinea, and I couldn't resist wiring it and putting it in a pot( and I am not sure if chose the right pot or applied the wire correctly )
I didn't do any pruning( because I don't know how to select branches)
I wanted to do a cascading style.
Also a few days ago my grandma gave me 2 seedlings, that I cannot identify, because she used some old local name for the tree.
And I also put some light wire on them to give them some curvature.
Did I do anything right?
Looking forward to your replys

A picture would be nice. But from your story it sounds like the same problem that every beginner have. The urge to do something and lack of self control to ask before act.

I like what you have done to the pines. I wuld not select branches for now, but just let it grow and in winter go for the next step.
The small plants look like Yew, Taxus spp. young plants. Here I would really let it grow for a bit?
