I recently received a Bonzai Tree, when I got it a couple of days ago it was green with very little browning. I have kept it in the sun and watered when needed but it starting to turn a little more brown in certain areas.
Wondering what is the issue, and what It could do?
As well as, the roots seem to be showing I know it’s normal but it seems a little much, wanted some help. Identifying the problem as well as what type of Juniper Bonzai it is.
Would appreciate any help and guidance.

This is mostly old needles. That is normal. You get a period in the year when all old needles go yellow and brown. This is fine as long as these are all inner, old needles.
Next to this, I see a few individual needles that when brown. Maybe a few got damaged. Nothing alarming at this point. If you see this clearly spreading, pop bac in.
