Hey everyone,
This is my first bonsai and I don't really know what I'm doing. I did the intro course here and it was very helpful. Not sure what to do with it in the winter. I live in Canada and winters get pretty cold and snowy. I'm worried if I plant it up to it's lowest branch, it will get crushed by the snow and mess up all the styling, also maybe it will just die.
I don't have a garage but I do have a shed. I fear the root system will be damaged if left in the shed as well, also it needs some sun no?I have an idea to get a shelter logic thing for my car and overlap it a little onto my lawn and plant the tree there, protecting it from most of the wind and snow, and also getting some indirect sunlight throughout the day. Is this feasible or not really?
Is it possible to keep this species indoors over the winter or will it get messed up? I'll include pictures of what it looks like as well.
