Hi, I have had a large ficus retusa about 6 months. It had had a bug infestation meley bugs the aphids. I have cured this I believe after about 4 months of effort. Now I haven't seen any bugs the leaves are still going yellow. I have also reported. While it was dormant there was no yellowing of leaves. Now its growing again the are yellowing. Its mostly seems to new ish growth. 2nd or 3rd leaf from the tip. I can't figure out what is causing is. I have repotted into premium bonsai soil 2 months ago its very well draining and no roots were rotten. Its in a south facing conservatory so it has light. Any ideas or advice would be nice... I'm all out of ideas for what it could be. Some spots of pesticide is still on the leaf so that is what the grey ish dots are on the leaf.

Are you in the northern or southern hemisphere? I get confused when you say the dormancy is over and it is starting to grow now in combination with repotting two months ago. One of the two statements is bad for the tree. I just can’t figure out which.

Hi, I'm in. North hemisphere. When I mean dormancy I mean after reporting and it not growing for a while not like winter dormancy. I should have worded that better so I do apologise. I reported the tree then it went dormant (repot shock or stress) and diddent grow for a while. Now it has started growing again after the repot the leafs are yellowing again. While it was not growing due to the repot stress it was not yellowing.

Ok. Yellowing and dropping leafs during that period when we heat our house, authum to spring is quite common. The humidity drops and light is not enough.

Is it common for the newer growth to yellow though. Seems strange how its always the newer growth 2nd leaf from the tip. And also the brown spots inside the leaf stem. What would that be do you know. I have. A picture of it uploaded. Is it from insects or something?
