I'm relatively new to bonsai, I've only been doing it about 6 months!
I have a pot with 3 trees in it, they are all Serissa foetida (Tree of a thousand Stars). On other first the leaves started to go white and wither off. I'm pretty sure that one is dead, but I would say im qualified to judge. I fear this may be happening on the second also. I would be massively grateful for any help anyone can give!
Attached are some pictures.
Thanks,
Tankman045

Hi, with the one you think is dead you can gently scrape of a very small patch of bark to see if the cambiem is green. If it is green then it's alive, if not then its dead. When I have had to do this to check I done it on the back of the trunk (not display side) to not impact the visual of the tree incase it was alive. And starting out I was surprised how dead a alive tree can look so hopefully it will be alive. Good luck.

These plants do not look good, that is the problem with keeping them in a house and not in a greenhouse for protection, lack of light is the big problem. Then the dry atmosphere also. It is possible that the leaves are dying off naturally but I doubt it. You say nothing about how you are looking after the plants, when and how you water for example. Why they are in the same pot is another question,

There are hundreds of different reasons for a tree wiltering. The key to the answer is in your care. Please provide a good summary about your care and location as well as the conditions the tree is growing in.

The pot is located on a South-East facing window sill, beneath which is a radiator. I don't believe the radiator is a factor, as it has not been on since I bought the trees (April time). I started off watering every few days, then maybe slightly more in the summer as it was getting quite hot. The pot sits in a dish that usually has about 1cm of water to aid with watering and humidity. The trees are in a temperature range of about 18-22°C, but this may be higher in the sun than in the rest of the room.

This is a problem we see lots off every authum. When the heating kicks in the humidity drops and the balance between light and heat is ascew. Your best chanse is to lower the temperature in the room where the tree is.
