Chinese juniper foliage going yellow was created by YuillPetrie

Hello, just a quick question. My juniper has lost its dark green colour and changed to a green/yellow (Images attached). Along with new incoming growth which now seem dull, compared to the usual bright green. I’m fairly new to bonsai so must admit I may have made a mistake when pruning perhaps? It is also late summer here in the uk if that helps and I have had the tree for around a couple of months.

Any help or feedback is appreciated. Thanks

Side note - although the pictures show the foliage to be bright green. They are less vibrant in person

When junipers turns yellow it is always too late to save that part of the tree. Most of your tree looks healthy to me.

It is a live plant needles do die. It has been hot for a while which can have an effect especially if there is not enough water at the roots. Junipers like sun and water.

The cause is allways stress. The reason for the stress is harder to determine based on a photo. It allways end up in the same symptom but can have hundreds of reasons. Look for reasons in the environment and your care.

Heat wave may be responsible, not the heat wave itself, but fail to keep up with watering. Trees needs a lot of water when it gets hot.
