OH MY GOD I THINK THEY WERE CAUSED MY MEALYBUGS. I TOOK A MAGNIFYING GLASS TO MY TREE AND HAPPENED TO FIND ONE. JUST WANTED TO LET YOU ALL KNOW. I AM CURRENTLY FREAKING OUT.
No but seriously, I found a mealybug sitting on one of the flower buds after finding some web-like substance (which i thought were caused by spider mites) but then I found the culprit!

Unhealthy trees are like bug magnets. Since carmona is so hard to grow they are one of the worst. But really, treating the bugs is treating a symptom, not the problem itself which is tree health.
