Hi guys,
As promisse, please find attached a picture of the poor chinese elm I rescued couple of months ago.
I resuced it with no more leaves on it in the middle of previous winter (november 2021).
Then it get a bit better with some new leaves in may 22 (see attached picture).
And two weeks ago, july 22, we suffered a serious hot wave in France and it probably did not enjoy it...
It does not have any more leaves today (see other picture).
I was spraying it every 2 days and watering it as soon as the substrate surface turned dry. I know that the water in my region is really hard so probably not good.
I placed it outdoors couple of days ago (temperature arround 25°C).
Substrate has been changed in march with 70% akadama and 30% prevous soil (coming from the shop my girlfriend bought it).
Thanks for your help

Should be out all the time, not moved about. If it hot then some shade.

Keep it outside, for now in shade, gradually morning sun/evening sun. Water with a garden hose or watering can ( like a rain shower) untill water flows from the drainage hole underneath. Repeat when soil feels slightly dry, not water on schedule. No fertilliser, pruning, moving around or fiddling with it untill it has regained full vigor. Stop misting/spraying the leaves, it is totally useless.

Chinese elms responds very fast on correct care. I would not be supriced if you see some improvement allready this season. The full recovery will happen in spring 2023 if correct care is applied.
