Hi guys

I need your help to identify this bonsai specie and would like to have some advices too.
I did change the substrate one month ago mixing 70% of akadama and 30% of previous soil (from shop I bought it).

Looks one part of the tree died while the other part seems more or less ok.
I placed it outdoors a couple of day ago only, oriented to south. It was previsouly in my living room, well sun exposed to south.
I live in the north west of France.

Thanks for your help

I think it is podacarpus, sometimes called Buddhist Pine.

July in the northern hemisphere is not a good time to repot. I would put it in partial shade for a couple of months, outdoors.

Check on temperature requirements for winter. It may need protection from winter wind and temperatures.

I should have mentioned that there is a Buddhist place in Hong Kong with hundreds of podacarpus bonsai. They sit outside, but Hong Kong thinks that 50F/10C is brutally cold. If you have real winters with frost, etc., you will need to do something for winter protection.
