Growing a Wisteria from Seed - Mold or New Life? was created by Xansai

Hello there,
First time poster, new bonsai owner (Fukien Tea tree, and hopefully in the future, a Wisteria), long time bonsai appreciator.
I received a bonsai kit from a friend, which contained the soil packets, peat pots, and different types of seeds suitable for bonsai. I did the float test to make sure the seeds were viable and alive, and placed one Wisteria seed into the expanded soil packet inside a peat pot. After about 5 weeks or so, I see some activity starting to happen - but I'm in doubt if this is good activity or not. Previously I tried to grow a different type from the kit and nothing ever happened (although, then I didn't know about the float test, so maybe I planted some duds; either way, the kit is a little gimmicky and not too high end).
From my looking around at tips on how to grow a wisteria from a seed, I placed the peat pot inside the bathroom (for the humidity from the shower), and close to the window. The room doesn't get too hot or too cold. The soil stays moist enough and doesn't dry out. All of this to say... I'm not sure if I'm seeing mold, or the way a seed brings about new life.
Any thoughts would be appreciated!

There are no tree growing there. Maybe mold, but no tree.
What is the idea behind growing temperate tree indoors?
