see picture. Inside the stem is still green i think. but it looks sick for sure and not making any leaves.
the one on the left has the same thing but only at the very top.

very dead
k and what about the one on the left. it is definitely not dead. the bottom looks healthy. do you think it will bounce back or will just die fully later.

Ok thanks. Some others are alive but not quite leaf yet. The weather is absolutely atrocious here this year I will add. Its like winter with longer daylight.

If it should be in leaf now or not is totally dependent on your location and climate. If trees around you have nit leafed out yet you just need to wait and see.

He is right i guess. All the other maples are already in leaf.
So I think it might be root rot from this crap weather. Some of my other best ones also look like they are going to die. Wilted leaves. This is super frustrating.
Right at the base of the tree where it goes into the soil has gone brown. Is that a lost cause?
