Hi all,
This is my first post about my Juniper. I have had this bonsai for a year this spring. The plant has always been outside and thriving its whole life. It was fine all through winter and the beginning of this spring, but after wiring it this past 2 weeks, the needles have started to become brown and dry. Any help would be appreciated and it seems as though the needles that are turning brown are currently the one on the inside of the branches. Half of the plant is getting brown needles and the other half the needles are still green but are drying out. Any help would be appreiciated!

I am sorry to say, your juniper looks completely dead. I dont think your wiering was the reason. Junipers tends to be green long time after death. It was proboably gone allread when you did the wiering.

When doing the fingernail test, the tree is still green underneath. I reported to see the roots and they are a dark red color.

Scraping bark off and bare rooting an unhealthy tree is not adviced. If there were any life left I would be supriced if you manage to get it back after this.
