Norwegian Spruce - Insects / Critters - Browning was created by Rimuru

I've got a Norwegian Spruce bonsai, I've had it for about 3 months now, and its condition was stable for a while, but it has started browning quite a lot. I live in a hardy USDA zone where it's not exactly ideal for growing these bonsai, but have been watering it every time I feel some dryness in the soil, so mostly every night. The plant was exposed to sun for at least 3-4 hours. It did had little spiders and webs all over it which I used soap to water dilution of about 2tsp soap to 1.5L of water to kill / remove. It also had a caterpillar in it somehow, which was also removed. The soil is organic so it does drain very easily. Fertilizer has been used every 3 weeks as that was what I was recommended.

I've attached images below to show the extent of the damage.

My questions are:
Does this plant need less sun time? More water? More shade? Should I trim off the brown branches / needles or leave them?

Appreciate any help / opinions :)

I have another opinion. I think this is a "birds nest spruce", a cultivar of norwegian spruce.

It could well be too, they do look very similar
