Hello!
I have a large specimen juniper that has some crispy tips on some of the younger foliage; the older mature foliage is fine with no problems. I live in zone 7-8 and put the juniper outside roughly 3 weeks ago. We have not had any frosts at night and the tree does not have spider mites. I have been water roughly 1-2 times per week each time until the water has run out of the bottom of the pot. The soil remains damp down to the depths of two finger knuckles and is not wet. The middle picture shows healthy, unaffected foliage. Thank you for any ideas and assistance!!

My procumbens do this every year when I move it out. I was thinking its a reaction to increased sunlight. I see it as less work thinning it out. In summer it always push out new and healthy foliage.
